The Test of the Festivals is the fourth test of Worship. People across Egypt may hold festivals, to honor the seven major Gods and Goddesses of Egypt: Isis, Osiris, Ra, Bastet, Maat, Hathor, and Thoth. Each festival is an occasion to raise your standing with that specific god or goddess.
Once you have raised to your standing with each of the seven gods to the highest possible, you pass the test.
As an intermediate reward, once your total standing with all the gods is 125% or higher, you can learn the Quickbrewing skill.
You need to register at an University of Worship first to participate in the festivals. You do need to do this only once. It is not necessary to register for each festival.
Festivals obey a set of common basic rules.
Each festival ritual involves three elements:
In practice, once you sacrifice an ambrosia, the type of the ambrosia determines which festival you are attempting, and the correct settings are validated.
Each person has different requirements for each festival. A simple ritual with two persons reveals the specific of your appearance, altar preparation, and ambrosia composition for each type of festival.
The specifics for each festival change whenever you succesfully perform a ritual for one of your festivals. The specifics will not change, no matter how often you check for them. They will also remain identical if your ritual is performed incorrectly (bad appearance, improper altar, incorrect ambrosia). They will change for all seven festivals, however, no matter which festival ritual you perform, even if you fail to gain standing with the gods because no one else performed at the same time, or you have already reached your maximum standing with that god or goddess.
Once the ambrosia is sacrificed, the ritual is completed, and a pop-up window will inform you if the ritual was properly performed (you will be told the god or goddess is pleased) or not (the god is not pleased). The amount of points gained is notified later, after all possible participants have finished their festival rites.
